THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

When I think of Western Auto close by my neighborhood when I was a kid I always think of radios, bikes, and basketballs-in that order! Car stuff? Nope! Today, it's a distant memory but, it lives on in what that company wrought in today's retail marketplace. Not to mention, this beautiful ebony Bakelite Truetone radio! The chassis is stamped D1011-D2015. Western Auto dealt with so many radio manufacturers they had a hard time keeping track, I guess. The models are similar with the case color being the distinctive qualifier. Electronically reconditioned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and all out of tolerance resistors have all been replaced. The six tubes are in good shape.
