Incredible as it sounds this brown mottled Bakelite GE appears to have its original tubes. There's no way to be sure, but it's difficult after all the years to still have a full GE radio tube complement! Even the ballast tube is GE! Anyway, this GE plays just as good as it looks. Electronically reconditioned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and a lot of the old "dog-bone" capacitors needed to be replaced. Amazing, the seven tubes are very strong! An external antenna for even better distant station selectivity! Another Jim Dennis "Time Machine" Special! If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 10"W x 7"H x 7-1/2"D. |
