THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Alan Freed, the Moondog and original Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rollah would have loved this shiny brown Polystyrene Packard Bell! Just feast your eyes kids and get ready to boogie 'cause this beauty has two speakers, daddy-oh! A pre-stereo wanna-be! What were they thinking in '54? Stereo was "out there" alright, but really only a commercial daydream in '54. Electronically reconditioned, aligned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors along with quite a few out of tolerance resistors, all replaced. A new power cord has been added! The six tubes are strong. There's an external antenna connection for greater sensitivity and a phono jack, too. Plays great! A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty, "Perry Como Special!" If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 13"W x 6-1/2"H x 6-1/4"D. |
