THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is an odd one! Coronado was sold by the Gambles retail stores, however this radio is a dead ringer for an Arvin 451T that was sold five years earlier. I could find no connection that Arvin and Gambles had a partnership selling radios. This was sold as the Coronado "Lyric," a five-tube AM only set. It has a built-in antenna and the clear plastic dial surround lights up all the way around with an overhead light. It looks really neat at night. The case is painted "Willow Green" over black Bakelite and you can see nicks in the paint, especially around the off-on volume control, but no cracks, chips or hairlines. It has the original knobs, back and cord. I went through the set, lubricated & cleaned the controls, replaced filters, weak tubes & caps. It was also aligned. There is provision for a long wire antenna on the back which will increase volume and reception. A nice mid-century modern design for your collection or use. 11:W x 6"H x 5"D.
