Packard-Bell 602 "Stationized" (1949)
(wood tube table radio)

Packard-Bell 602 "Stationized" (1949)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

From Los Angeles this six-tube, AM only radio is stationized for Southwest & Northwest coast stations. It has a dual dial scale with twin pointers that have been synched in with radio station call letters on the West coast. This is a unique early version that has twin speakers, one on each end. It has the Southwest styling that was popular in the late 40's. The Masonite case finish is original and shows scratches and nicks here and there. It has the original knobs, back and cord. It has a built-in antenna with a provision for adding a long wire. It has twin dial lights and a tone control. I went through the chassis and replaced filters, caps and weak tubes. I had to restring the dial cord (not fun!) and it has been aligned. It plays out with a nice mellow tube sound. This would make a great addition to your California radio collection.
