THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a nice small five-tube, AM only radio from the Arvin Corp. of Columbus, IN. It has the left side dial which they made a few of in the day, it is different from the majority of post-war radios in this respect. It has a brown Bakelite case which has a small hairline on the bottom of the case from a screw hole. Otherwise it has no cracks or chips. It has the original knobs, back and grille cloth. It has a very bright dial light (110V)! I replaced filters, caps and weak tubes. It has been aligned. It plays out fine with a nice mellow tube sound and has a built in antenna with provisions for an outside one as well. This would make a great little radio to listen to the ballgames this summer, left-handed or not! 9-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 6"D. |
