THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a radio for you "lefties" out there. It is a five-tube AM only small Bakelite radio. This radio was actually made by Arvin which made a few lefty radios. It is hard to find a dial on the upper left of the front case on any radio of this vintage. This "walnut" Bakelite case has no cracks, chips or hairlines and takes a nice shine. I went through it electronically and replaced filters, caps, and weak tubes and it was aligned as well. It has a built in "Radionet," an antenna on the back, which was a big deal for small radios in 1941. There was an "onyx" or beetle version of this set which is harder to find. It plays out with a nice mellow tube sound. 8"W x 6"H x 5"D. |
