Jewel 960 (1950)

Jewel 960 (1950)
Here is a five-tube AM table radio from the Jewel Radio Corp. of New York City. It is circa 1950 and has that mid-century modern style to it. It has a dark brown case with the original back, knobs and cord. I went through the chassis and replaced weak tubes, filters, and caps. The controls were lubed and cleaned and the set was aligned as well. It plays out on local stations with its built-in antenna with a mellow tube sound. It has a screw on the back for attaching a long wire antenna if you want more reception. This would make a great decorator radio, or play it at home or office. 12"W x 7-1/2"H x 6"D.  $74.99.
