THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
If I were going to invent a speaker in 1927, I don't know what idea I would have come up with, but I'm pretty sure making the horn out of plaster would not have been it. But that's exactly what the Operadio guys did on this interesting Operadio Junior speaker. I replaced the bad Utah driver with a nearly identical Nathanial Baldwin driver, also made in Salt Lake City. The coil reads 1000 ohms and has a very audible "pop" when I hook up the ohmmeter leads. I repaired this to sell with a Regen set, but my customer changed his mind so I am selling it separately. Painted a kind of Maroon color by a previous owner. New grille cloth. The cord is good with no frays. This will definitely stand out next to your Tuska Regen or Radiola 18. Fairly heavy. 8-1/2"H x 8"W x 7-1/2"D. |
