THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This cute little Zenith 6S527 has had a very hard life, being kept in a dark basement, and having its organs removed to save other radios. I rescued it, gave it new knobs and pushbuttons, a new dial glass, a new dial pointer, made a back cover for it, and gave it a full set of very high testing tubes. Needless to say, my margin is pretty small on this one, but I think it was worth it. I touched up the nice original finish and overcoated it with 14 coats of lacquer. The finish is slick, with a few very small dings. The veneers are gorgeous, with very nice highlights in the wood grain. The sound is very good from the perfect speaker. Two small repairs to the grille and some reasonably good, but less than perfect touch up work on the dial. Broadcast and shortwave. Internal antenna for broadcast but needs an external antenna for short wave. Somebody please give this little sweetie a good home. I'm sure it will appreciate it, and reward you with its charm and music.
