THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This little Crosley 516 was an eBay purchase, and reminded me why you don't buy radios on eBay. It turned out to have a lot of problems. It is not valuable enough to warrant removing and replacing the veneer, so I patched it the best I could. I replaced the speaker, grille cloth and volume control. The knobs are reproductions. On the upside, I gave it a nice slick finish, and the perfect replacement speaker sounds very good for what was a low budget radio in its day. I gave it a full set of tubes that all test to new specs, replaced all of the capacitors and resistors as necessary. All in all it's a swell little radio. That said, I realize it has some shortcomings and I am pricing it accordingly. I have more money in parts than I am asking for the set. I hope someone with a good heart will save the little guy in spite of a few pimples. 12"H x 10-1/2"W x 8"D.
