Philco 20 Cathedral (1930)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philco 20 Cathedral (1930)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Imagine a beautiful and talented singer who happens to have a blemish on her face and that would be this otherwise gorgeous Philco Model 20. A victim of a previous amateur restoration, and someone storing it with a very heavy weight on the upper right corner smashing the cabinet and breaking the grille, this little sweetheart is otherwise stunningly beautiful, and boy can she sing! This is the best sounding Philco 20 you are ever going to hear. I gave her tubes that all test near NOS. I stuffed new caps in all the old housings to retain originality and replaced all the resistors. Full alignment. Receiver sensitivity is nothing short of outstanding. It picks up stations over a hundred miles away on my 50 foot long wire all across the dial. If you are the type of person who can appreciate a beautiful woman despite an unfortunate scar on her lovely visage, this radio is for you.
