1937 Stromberg Carlson Model 225H. Five tubes, AM & two Shortwave bands. This marvelous Art Deco styled set was made by Stromberg-Carlson in Rochester, NY. It features a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood cabinet that has the original finish! The maple inlay, sided by oak and walnut, is a beautiful combination of veneers. A tulip motif of the ebony grille with original grille cloth and the octagonal dial make this radio stand out! It is a large tabletop with the trademark Stromberg-Carlson octagonal dial. This model is highly desired and relatively expensive, as they are rare and very Art Deco. Plays loudly and clearly on all bands. The chassis has been fully reviewed with all capacitors replaced and all other components such as tubes and resistors replaced where failed or weak. A fantastic addition to any collection!
