Zenith 6-S-128 (1937)

Zenith 6-S-128 (1937)

Highly desired Zenith tombstone. This 1937 model 6-S-128 is a six-tube super-het that plays on both AM and Shortwave. Along with the massive cabinet, the radio offers controls to tailor the sound to your tastes along with a large 8-inch speaker. The multi colored over-size 7-1/2" dial is brightly lit by a pair of lamps. The cabinet has a very nice finish which I believe is original but I am not 100% sure (but it looks great!). The speaker cloth is an excellent. The iconic embossed wood "Z" knobs are factory originals. An excellent and strong player, the chassis has been rebuilt with all new capacitors and all tubes testing strong. The clockwork tuning condenser assembly was lubricated and the dial belt replaced. All four tuning indicators were replaced. All functions operate perfectly. 22-3/4"H x 16-3/4"W x 12-1/2"D. Shipping will be a bit higher due to the large size of the radio. The radio is a strong player with great selectivity and sound quality. A long antenna wire will be included to improve reception. Zenith 6-S-322 "Stars and Stripes" (1939)

Zenith 6-S-322 "Stars and Stripes" (1939)

1939 Zenith "Stars and Stripes" model 6S322. There were three or four table sets with the "Stars and Stripes" bezel. Many believe the model 322 was the nicest, and hardest to find. All of the capacitors were replaced with modern equivalents. The resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where needed. New power cord, three of the four knobs are original, the fourth is a correct reproduction. The cabinet finish is original except for the top where the damaged veneer was professionally replaced. The patina on the Bezel remains. The speaker is original, and new grille cloth was installed. This radio is a fantastic performer across the dial. The model 322 is pretty rare and highly collectable. 20"W x 11-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D. I accept payment via check. Shipping would depend on your address but I use UPS Ground and can get a discount. $499.00. Guarantee & Terms of Sale

Guarantee:  It is my goal to provide you with a quality working radio at a fair price.  Regarding cosmetics, some radios are refinished due to necessity, others look great as is.  Regarding electronics, my repair guru is retired from the NSA and has decades of experience (he is 82 years old and going strong!).  I bench test each sold radio prior to packing to confirm there are no new issues that need to be corrected.  All radios stated as working are guaranteed to work for 60 days after receipt.  If the radio fails to perform, please contact me and we will work together to solve the problem.  If necessary you may ship the radio back to me and I will have my repair guru repair it.  A buyer should never attempt a repair without contacting me first or the warranty will be voided!  Shipping expense back to me is the buyer's responsibility, return shipping of the radio to you is my responsibility.  There is no fee for the repair.

Sales and Payment:  I will hold a radio for five days when I receive the first email with an offer to buy.  I consider an offer to buy in your email the point of sale.  If full payment is not received within the five day period I consider the sale void, and the radio will be available for sale again.  I accept payment through PayPal, credit cards and checks.  Payment plus shipping must be deposited before we ship your radio to you.  Checks must clear my bank before shipping.  I will never provide or sell your personal information to anyone.  Credit card information is shredded and discarded after the charge is made and deposited.  Upon ordering, you will receive an invoice via email with cost plus shipping charges.  A receipt will arrive with the radio.

Shipping:  I have shipped many, many radios with great success.  I use heavy duty boxes, large bubble wrap, Styrofoam peanuts and take extra care to protect your purchase from the rough handling of the shipping companies.  I will try to find the best shipping price, but prefer FedEx Home Delivery.  Each shipment is sent fully insured with tracking.  We ship within three days of payment, often the same or next day.  If there is damage from shipping, the claim has to go through the shipper.  If we determine the damage is the shipper or buyer's fault, we can negotiate a repair price.  If an issue can't be resolved to the buyer's liking, we will offer a full refund minus shipping and insurance.  If the buyer pays the shipper directly, the buyer assumes all responsibility for insurance settlements due to damage while in transit.  When shipping a radio back to us, please follow our packing guidelines listed above.  If the radio is improperly packed, the refund will be denied.
