THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a classic black dial pre-War Zenith in a beautiful solid walnut case, original back, new power cord, and one of only a few Zenith cases supposedly made for Zenith by the Ingraham Cabinet Company, Bristol, CT. This was one of the last production runs before Zenith switched over to wartime operations. This case really looks nice. The radio has a unique design where tube heat is released through slats in the case, hence its nickname "Toaster." The radio is playing clearly, picking up all my local AM stations with no problems. The dial lamp work fine. It has its "Z" knobs and correct dial pointer. This particular model also has its beautiful original Tortoise shell handle. About 11-1/2"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D. |
