THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This rare set has only been offered two other times on the Radio Attic, selling for $1695 and $1950. It is the largest black dial Zenith ever made and only a step down from the Stratosphere in the Zenith lineup. Please note the speaker baffle is missing but is not difficult to obtain. The set also features a tone fidelity switch and a sensitivity control. The cabinet is high end with its top of the line burled walnut veneer, inlays, and original wooden knobs (note one knob has a small piece of the lip missing). The cabinet has been restored about a decade ago. The chassis was fully reviewed and any failed or weak components such as tubes, caps, etc. were replaced. I can hold for pick up or deliver for an agreed upon price depending on your location (I am in Northern Virginia). The top of the cabinet has a small gouge and the same piece has a separation so if you choose to repair or replace that piece it appears not to be a difficult procedure. The dial turns and lights as designed. Dial is in excellent condition and dial glass is without cracks or chips. 43-1/2"H x 27"W x 14"D. |
