The Sears Roebuck, Company radio brand was Silvertone. It has six tubes and AM and SW bands. This radio was manufactured by the Colonial Radio Corp., Buffalo, NY. It is reported that this cabinet was made by the famous Ingraham Cabinet Co., Bristol, CT. It is a smaller table radio and will easily fit in a shelving unit or small area with its front facing speaker. The multi-veneers, gold and brown foil dial with the green magic tuning eye in the dial and louvered speaker grille, make this a very attractive radio. The chassis was cleaned and all the controls were cleaned and lubricated. All operate smoothly and properly. All of the electrolytic and wax paper capacitors were replaced and any out of tolerance resistors were replaced. The tubes were tested and defective or even weak tubes were replaced with NOS tubes. A new polarized AC cord was installed for safety. The cabinet was in great shape and tight, but the finish showed some wear and as is my norm, I stripped the old finish and applied Mohawk Nitrocellulose toners and several coats of Mohawk semi-gloss clear lacquer with light smoothing between coats. The dial cover was yellowed and was replaced. 14-3/4"W x 9-1/4"H x 7-1/4"D.
