Silvertone 4763 (1938)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Silvertone 4763 (1938)

1936 through 1939 were the best years for Superheterodyne radios, with 1937 being one of my favorite years for electrical innovation and cabinet design. This sought after Silvertone was the top of the line in 1937, copying the popular "cube" design wanted by collectors to this day. A great performer and a simply gorgeous cabinet with four different types of veneer. This six-tube, three-band (SB,SWx2) is a strong performer with plenty of volume. We replaced all of the capacitors, checked and replaced tubes and resistors where needed. The new eye tube is bright and responsive. We added a safety fuse, power cord, antenna lead and an audio cable for external devices. Gary stripped and refinished the cabinet, and it's one of the nicest 4763's I have seen! The Tenite escutcheon is in perfect condition as are the original knobs, chassis, speaker and dial face that stands up to close scrutiny. Also included is the original operators manual and "Guarantee Card". These are hard to find folks, and this one is perfect! 15"W x 14"H x 10"D.  $849.00. (1600480)
