Emerson was by far the Ingraham Clock Company's biggest customer. It's hard to find a collectable Emerson wood radio that isn't an Ingraham cabinet. Thought to have been designed by Alexis De Sakhnoffsky, who designed the "Mae West" models, the AU213 is a masterpiece in its own right. The AU213 is a five-tube, two-band (AM,police) AC/DC radio. We replaced all of the capacitors with new equivalents. The resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where needed. A new cloth-covered power cord, safety fuse and antenna lead were added. Gary stripped the cabinet and did a fantastic job on the refinish, ending up with beautiful "piano" lacquer finish. The knobs, chassis and speaker are original. He installed a new dial cover from Mark Palmquist. The Ingraham badge and Emerson decal are present. This rare Emerson plays and looks like new. A must-have for the Emerson collector! 12"H x 9"W x 7"D. |
