Andrea T-16 (1946)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Andrea T-16 (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The Andrea Radio Corporation of Long Island, New York, was formed by Frank D'Andrea around 1933. He manufactured radios to sell in the USA and abroad. He also had FADA radio manufacturing, but quickly sold it to Jacob Marks, also of Long Island, and later repurchased it and renamed Andrea back to FADA. If you are confused, welcome to the club! The T-16 is a six-tube, three-band (AM,SWx2) AC radio. This radio belonged to Blake and he replaced all of the capacitors with modern equivalents. The resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where necessary. An external audio cable can be added upon request. The set plays very well with plenty of volume and has great sensitivity across the dial utilizing an internal "loop" antenna. Gary stripped and refinished the Walnut cabinet, and ended up with a gorgeous "piano" lacquer finish. The radio has the original knobs, dial scale and back. Andrea radios don't shown up very often, especially this model. This is a perfect representation to add to your collection. It's priced to sell, so make it yours today! 17"W x 11"H x 9"D.
