Midwest 11-36 (1936)

Midwest 11-36 (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
The Midwest Radio Corporation was founded by A.G. Hoffman in the early 1920's. Based in Cincinnati Ohio, the company made everything in house from design to electronics to cabinets. They were one of the first radio companies to offer mail order sales, offering just the chassis and electronics without a cabinet as an option. The company had a lot of success, and had over 120,000 customers my 1938. The 36-11 was an eleven-tube, five-band (SB, SWx2, airline and police) powerful radio. Blake replaced all of the capacitors. He checked the resistors and tubes, replacing where necessary. He installed a new power cord, safety fuse and our new switchable Bluetooth jack. This radio has three 6F6 power tubes...it will rattle the windows! Gary stripped the Maple, Walnut and Australian Laurel cabinet, ending up with a gorgeous "piano" lacquer finish. He added the factory shading and toning, making this radio a standout! The radio has a perfect chrome dial bezel, the original knobs and band selector with a perfect dial scale. This is one fantastic and rare Midwest console, and priced to sell, ready to grace your collection! 39-1/2"H x 23-1/2"W x 12-1/2"D.
