Silvertone T-3 "Egyptian" (1938)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Silvertone T-3 "Egyptian" (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Detrola designed and manufactured this radio, and soon other Detrola customers adopted the radio with their name on it. Truetone, Silvertone, Aria, and possibly Hudson and Coronado, but I can't confirm the last two. The Silvertone version is less common than the Detrola and Truetone. The Silvertone T-3 (chassis 109.190) is a nine-tube, three-band (SB,SWx2) radio. Blake replaced all of the capacitors, checked the resistors and tubes replacing where needed. He installed a new power cord, audio cable, antenna lead and a safety fuse. The motorized tuner works perfectly, and a new tuning "eye-tube" was installed. Gary stripped the cabinet made of Walnut, Burl Walnut, Maple and Australian Laurel. He finished with a beautiful hard lacquer "piano" finish. The original knobs, chassis and speaker are present. The station tabs and crystal-clear dial cover are from Mark Palmquist, and Gary added a reproduction grille cloth. This exquisite radio is rare and highly collectable. They don't get much better than this! 22"W x 12"H x 9"D.
