Bendix 526MC Catalin (1946)
(Catalin tube table radio)

Bendix 526MC Catalin (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I have always considered the Bendix 526C Catalin to one of the nicest Catalins out there. For years they were considered to be an entry level Catalin, but now collectors have "caught up to it" realizing it is a very nice radio. Plus they are electronically better than most Catalins, as it's usually all about the cabinet. Blake restored the chassis by replacing all of the capacitors. He then checked all the resistors and replaced all of the out-of-tolerance components. He then checked all of the tubes replacing where needed. A new power cord and audio cable were installed. The radio performs well and has good sensitivity utilizing an internal loop antenna. Gary cleaned the radio and then polished the jade green, yellow and turquoise swirls to a gleaming luster, a process that takes a few hours to do. There are no cracks, chips or defects in this perfect example of a Bendix Catalin. Everything on this radio is original except for a reproduction back.If your looking for a top-notch Catalin for your collection, then look no further! 11"W x 7"H x 7"D.
