Stromberg-Carlson 130J "Treasure Box" (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 130J "Treasure Box" (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The 130 series had table radios, consoles, radio/ record player combos, and tombstones. In fact there is a 130J tombstone model. Their radios were high quality, and the cabinets were gorgeous, but they even bettered themselves with this model. The eleven-tube 240H was the top of the line, but the 130J was excellent in its own right. To me the 130J buries the 240H with its gorgeous cabinet. This eight-tube, three-band (SB,SWx2) radio is an amazing performer. It pulls in stations from everywhere and kicks it out of an 8-inch speaker. Blake replaced all of the capacitors. The resistors and tubes where checked for tolerance and replaced where needed. We installed a audio cable that will work great with your external devices. We all know what a craftsman Gary is, and his work is on display with this radio. He completely refinished the radio, including a few repairs to the cabinet. The result was a stunning, seldom seen, awesome radio. We kept the original knobs and grille cloth. Check out the veneer on this radio! It would dominate any collection with its sheer size and beauty! 22"W x 14"H x 9"D.
