Zenith 7-S-633 (1942)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Zenith 7-S-633 (1942)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The mid 1930's saw Zenith set the pace with radios like the nine-tube 9-S-30 in 1936, the ten-tube 10-S-130 in 1937, to the seven- to twelve-tube Walton series in 1938. By 1939, produced the successful "cube" radio. By 1940, Zenith produced smaller tube count table radios, which were available in small to large sizes. The 7-S-633 was manufactured in 1941 for the 1942 model year, the last year of radio production till after the war. This seven-tube, three-band (SB,SWx2) radio like a lot of the other table radios of the early 40's, had plenty of volume and good fidelity. Blake replaced all of the capacitors, checked resistors and tubes, replacing where needed. He did some rewiring and installed a new transformer. He added a safety fuse, audio cable and a new power cord. After an alignment, this radio sounds amazing! Great sensitivity across the dial and produces great fidelity. The cabinet was in good condition, so Gary cleaned it up and touched it up with a coat of lacquer. I even found a reproduction back. You never see these radios with a back! This is a fantastic example of a 7-S-633, ready for your collection. 20"W x 10"H x 11"D.
