Zenith 5-S-127 (1937)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 5-S-127 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here we have another multi-colored "Big Dial" Zenith tombstone from 1937. These five-tube, four-band (SB, SWx2, Police) radios are very desirable for their Art Deco looks and superb performance. The wax/paper capacitors have been replaced with new equivalents. The resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where needed. A safety fuse has been added and an audio cable installed to plug and listen to the device of your choice. A precise alignment was done giving this radio a lot of sensitivity and volume across the dial. Gary professionally refinished the gorgeous walnut cabinet with the finest grain filler and toner. He then hand-rubbed the lacquer to a gleaming luster for a "factory fresh" finish. He used a period correct, reproduction Zenith grille cloth and retained the original wooden "Z" knobs. Once these radios are restored and put up for sale, they don't last very long on the Radio Attic! 16"H x 13-1/2"W x 10"D.
