THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The table radios Zenith developed for the 1940 line had innovative cabinet designs, retaining an "Art Deco" look with a bit more modern influence. The curving, "Ingraham" style curved wood speaker grille, and the use of walnut veneer and a touch of "faux" finish. This seven-tube, three-band (SB, SW, police) also incorporated tone switches for bass and treble boost. It also utilizes an internal "loop" antenna. We replaced all of the capacitors, resistors and tubes checked and replaced where needed. The cabinet was in good, original condition. Gary restored it, giving it a "factory fresh" look. The radio is gorgeous and performs well across the dial. 17-1/2"W x 8-1/2"H x 10-1/2"D. |
