Here we have a beautiful 1936 Crosley tombstone that is offered on the Radio Attic for the first time. This wonderful six-tube, two-band (AM,SW) Super-Heterodyne radio has great sensitivity across the dial. All the wax/paper capacitors have been replaced with new epoxy coated capacitors of equal values. The tubes and resistors have been checked and replaced as needed, and a precise alignment has been done for years of listening pleasure. A safety fuse was installed, and an audio cable has been added to plug and play your own device. This high performing chassis is also used on Crosley's model 649 console radio. Gary has professionally refinished the cabinet with the finest lacquer, grain filler and toner for a "factory like" piano finish. The knobs, chassis and speaker are original to this beautiful Crosley, and a new reproduction Crosley grille cloth completes this restoration. 15-1/2"H x 12-1/2"W x 8"D.
