Zenith 809 Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 809 Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Joe's Radio Shop is proud to present some of the finest in vintage radio collecting. There were three varieties of "chrome front" radios offered by Zenith in 1934. This beautiful six-tube, three-band (SB, police, SW) midsize tombstone was the entry level "800" series, featuring an RF tuning stage for greater sensitivity. It has been professionally restored by Blake to give you years of listening pleasure. The wax/paper capacitors have been replaced with the new Mylar caps of equal values and the tubes and resistors were checked and replaced as needed. An audio cable and fuse were added, as was a precision alignment. Gary refinished the cabinet to a "factory fresh" look, and the chrome speaker grille has had a triple-chrome replate. An exact reproduction grille cloth replaces the original, and the speaker and knobs are also original. Depression era radios are very rare so don't miss this opportunity to display one of the best!
