| 1937 was a wonderful year for Zenith console radios, and personally my favorite year for Zenith. Zenith's iconic big "black dial" made its first appearance in 1937 and is a favorite among collectors and non-collectors alike. Here we are some 81 years later, and they are still sought after radios. This radio has all of the Zenith factory's original equipment: 10-inch electromagnetic speaker, "Z" knobs and six-tube chassis with three bands (SB, SWx2). Blake has professionally restored the chassis with all new capacitors and tested and replaced tubes and resistors as needed and a safety fuse has been added. Gary has refinished the cabinet with the proper lacquer and toners for a new factory finish. This beautiful radio will become the center of attention in any den, office or living room. A cable has been added to play your MP3 player, iPad or any other device for your listening pleasure. 40"H x 25"W x 14"D. |
