Up for sale today is this seven-tube, absolutely gorgeous and desirable 1932 Philco "Baby Grand" cathedral radio. This high-performance set receives AM broadcasts loud and clear with that warm tone that you get with these wonderful antique radios. This popular set sold over 300,000 units for Philco! The little brother of the highly collectable nine-tube Philco 90, this set along with the 90 and 21 were designed and patented by Edward Combs. Blake went through this radio, trouble-shooting issues as they arose, with our usual replacement of all capacitors, bad resistors, bad tubes, and he installed a new power cord with a safety fuse. After a complete alignment, this radio is ready to go for many years to come. Gary's cabinet refinish is one of the best you will ever see and the grille cloth is an exact reproduction of the original, which is no longer available. This is one fabulous radio, the iconic Philco 70, the quintessential cathedral radio! 18"H x 16-1/2"W x 10"D.
