THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
1939 was a year of change for Philco. They dropped all of their high fidelity research and development and started producing a lot of smaller, less expensive radios to compete in the market of the day. Many of their basic five-tube radios were priced at $20.00 to $30.00, with the 39-6 priced at $19.95. A five-tube AM band only radio, this set has a beautiful cabinet. Walnut with two Maple or Mahogany inlays, Gary did a wonderful job refinishing this stunning cabinet. Joe did our usual chassis work of replacing capacitors, bad resistors and tubes, installed a new power cord and dial cover. The radio was aligned and is a good performer with plenty of volume. The set retains it original grille cloth and knobs. We have this radio priced to sell... a beautiful radio and a great gift! Please allow $38 for shipping. |
