THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
In 1936, this Silvertone console radio could be ordered right from the Sears Mail Order Catalog Company. Small but powerful, this ten-tube, four-band (SB, 2xSW, police) radio uses two 6F6 tubes for a strong push-pull audio. The beautiful, large "Gold Series" dial is mint and the tuning eye is new, bright and sensitive. It sports a massive 12" electromagnetic speaker that is original to the set and receives local and foreign broadcasts loud and clear with great tone. Blake conducted our usual replacement of capacitors, out-of-tolerance resistors, bad tubes and any problems diagnosed and fixed, aligned for peak performance, and a new cord and fuse installed for safety. The cabinet has been refinished with lacquer and toners and hand rubbed to a piano finish by master refinisher Gary Marvin. Allow $150 for professional packing and shipping to your nearest Greyhound depot. 38"H x 22"W x 12"D. |
