| Detrola, Michigan's largest radio manufacturer in the day, had some of the most beautiful radios around. This Detrola Model 149-R is a true example of that. You can see the Art Deco influence with its smoothly curved front and grille cut-outs. The dial is one of the best of this era, it looks fantastic when lit. This is the first time this very rare model has been offered for sale on The Attic. The cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a lovely finish. The electronics have been completely restored and it plays very nicely on the AM and Shortwave bands. The tuning eye is bright and responsive. I can add an aux input at no extra charge for your listening enjoyment should you wish listen to your audio device through the radio. 18"H x 12"W x 7"D. |
