Lovely early cathedral by the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company. Their plant in North Tonawanda, New York, began manufacturing radios in 1929 when they bought out Lyric. The same beautiful quality workmanship they displayed in their organs and juke boxes was skillfully carried over into Lyric radios. This nicely playing, relatively small, early AM broadcast superhet set had all the capacitors replaced with modern types, out of tolerance resistors replaced, tubes checked and replaced where needed, an antenna lead installed, and has been fused for your safety. Hand carved wooden knobs, period specific quality replacement grille cloth, and the cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous finish honoring the original finish in specific detail. The usually missing Wurlitzer tag is prominently displayed on the rear arch. Make this very difficult to find Wurlitzer a cornerstone in your collection today! 15-3/4"H x 13-1/4"W x 9"D. |
