THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here's a very gorgeous and not often seen Fairbanks-Morse radio. Fairbanks-Morse, which began as an industrial company in 1823, entered the radio business in 1934 by acquiring the Audiola Radio Co., a Chicago company. F/M is still in business today. This radio has an amazing back lit detailed colorful dial, airplane style dial pointer, split second pointer and three receiving bands, one AM broadcast and two SW. Plenty of Art Deco influence! This lovely cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous finish. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety), and it plays and sounds very nice on the AM and shortwave bands. This will unquestionably be The Key Focal Point of any room or collection. 17-1/2"W x 12-1/4"H x 9-1/2"D. |
