Beautiful "mini cathedral" by Grigsby-Grunow Majestic, about as stylish as they come. Quite difficult to come by, these are always popular among collectors due to the unusual Gothic design and smallish size. I believe the finish to be original and even though 86 years old, it still looks great. This model and the 440 model shared the same chassis, which is a wonderful little player for 1933, pulling all my local stations easily. Period correct replacement grill cloth and a period correct cloth power cord. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety), and it plays very nicely on the AM band and also has the Police band, which as many of you know, is no longer in use. 13-3/4"H x 9-1/2"W x 6-1/2"D. |
