Firestone, best known for their tires and repair outlets, also used to sell radios and appliances within their stores. Many a customer left with a new set of tires and a nice new radio for the family. This is the very first time this beautiful Air Chief has ever been offered on The Radio Attic! The cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous finish honoring the original finish details. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety). Original grille cloth and knobs, nice crisp graphic dial with the airplane style dial pointer. It plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band and shortwave bands. I have added an MP3 input, should you care to play your own music through this gorgeous Firestone. 15-1/4"W x 9-1/2"H x 7-3/4"D.
