THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Philco introduced this 37-602C in June of 1936 as a part of their 1937 model lineup, replacing their 600C model. This series of radios was unusual, as the back of the radio looked identical to the front. In this era, Philco was at the top of their game with Art Deco designed radios and this popular series utilized both front and rear decals depicting marvelous wood graining, inlay accents and designs. This is also known as a "faux" finish. The cabinet's top was refinished and the expected worn areas on the sides were touched up. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety and has a new polarized power cord). It plays nicely on the AM broadcast band with the extended antenna. 12-1/2"W x 8-1/4"H x 6-3/4"D. |
