THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Rarely do you see one of these for sale or even in someone's collection, as they are hard to acquire. Designed for the 1938 World's Fair introduction, which drew quite a lot of attention to Motorola as a radio manufacturer. No external knobs (recessed in the top of the cabinet) and a very unique curved dial. The cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous luster, paying respect to the original detailed finish. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety and has a new polarized power cord), and it plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band. 11-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H x7"D. |
