THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
For the very first time on The Radio Attic, a "Libertyphone," Liberty Music Shop's custom manufactured book set style radio unlike any other from the infamous "Radio Row" in New York City. Emerson had a line of book set radios as well as Crosley, both of which are relatively common today. I had previously never seen nor heard of this set, and it is very doubtful you will ever see another. Aside from being custom made, it also has shortwave and a mesmerizing new bright green eye tube, unheard of in a book set radio! The cabinet is leather, showing wear and age, with dry leather, cracked in some areas, but still quite presentable. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety and has a cloth era correct power cord). It plays very nicely on both the AM broadcast band and Shortwave, has a large speaker and tone control. I have also added an MP3 audio input so you can listen to your own selected music. 13-1/4"W x 8-3/4"H x 8-1/4"D. |
