THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Beautiful little pre-WWII set with white bullet knobs and a white Plaskon speaker grille. The grille does have some stress cracks, which is to be expected for its 77 years. Beautiful dial and red dial pointer, seen clearly through its new dial cover. I'm not much into Catalin radios, but I understand the Motorola 51X shares the same chassis as this 51X19 at a fraction of the cost! The cabinet has been nicely refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous luster. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety and has a new polarized power cord), and it plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band with its internal loop antenna. 11-1/2"W x 7"H x 5-3/4"D. |
