Pilot 193 (1936)

Pilot 193 (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
Pilot, a small radio manufacturer out of Brooklyn, NY, produced very high quality, well engineered radios. The 193, a top of the line offering for 1936, is highly coveted by serious collectors and very rarely comes up for sale here on The Attic or elsewhere, as they nominally remain in collections for decades. Beautiful 6-inch stationized airplane style dial that lights three ways, top and bottom (AM Broadcast) and top or bottom depending which shortwave band is in use. Cabinet design is gorgeous with the inlay veneer and bookend style matching corner veneers. The cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a beautiful finish. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety). It plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band and shortwave bands through its 8-inch speaker. In addition to adding an MP3 input, I am including a Bluetooth receiver so you can directly connect your MP3 device or stream your music using your own Bluetooth device. A USB charger cable is included for charging the device's battery. 21-3/4"W x 11-3/4"H x 8"D.
