Zenith 6-S-321 "Stars & Stripes" (1939)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Zenith 6-S-321 "Stars & Stripes" (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Stunning "Stars & Stripes" Zenith series that is highly prized by serious collectors. This series has the front faux-finish (photo finish), meaning that the burl type veneer was painted on. I was very careful to clean it and seal it, preserving this lovely finish as it was intended to be seen. The top of the cabinet was refinished and grain filler and the finest toning lacquers were applied. Some of this particular series had a brass front bezel, but as somewhat of a rarity, this one has the bronze bezel with a very nice patina. Huge gold detailed dial that Zenith was famous for, station preset buttons and original "Z" knobs. Curved left side, horizontal wrap around bars and Zenith style period correct new grille cloth. Gorgeous! The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety), and it plays very nicely on both the AM broadcast band and short wave (two bands) and an antenna is included. I've also added an MP3 input for your enjoyment should you wish listen to your own supplied music, such as Fats Waller or Bing Crosby. 17-1/2"W x 11-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.
