Zenith 6-D-625 (1941)
(wood tube table radio)

Zenith 6-D-625 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A beautifully designed wooden Zenith that doesn't come up too often for sale. It has been given the nickname "The Toaster" by many collectors due to the openings around the entire cabinet. Actually, the design is near genius, as the venting helps the radio run cooler for long periods of playing time. The sound that it emanates is just wonderfully warm, as you would expect from a Zenith and the big black dial with the big "Z" airplane style dial pointer draws your attention straight to this radio. The cabinet has been lovingly restored to closely match the color combinations as when it was new. The back of the top had a small crack in the wood, not uncommon for this model, which I carefully repaired. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety), and it plays superb on the AM Broadcast band. I've added an MP3 input for your listening enjoyment should you wish listen to your own supplied music instead of just the broadcast band. 12"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
