A beautiful radio, which was manufactured by Detrola for Air Castle. A glorious Art Deco design in a lovely cabinet with a "magic" tuning eye. Like most, I've always found the green eye tube to be very mesmerizing in a dark room, imagining families gathered around it listening to the old radio series, like the Green Hornet, Boston Blackie and Fibber McGee and Molly. The cabinet has been carefully restored using the finest lacquers and toning lacquers. The chassis has been completely restored and it plays very nicely on the AM and Shortwave broadcast band (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety). I have also added a mini-jack so you can play media from your MP3 player or another audio input source, so you'll have the potential for hours upon hours of unlimited listening enjoyment.
