These don't seem to come up very often, as the styling was so practical, yet uncommon for its time. Some call it the "three way" radio, because it can be set straight up like a current era tombstone, on its left side or its right side. The wooded railing supports it on any of those three positions. Stewart Warner was a leading style innovator in its day, so this advanced design not surprising coming from them. Reception is quite pleasing to the ear. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for safety). The cabinet's finish was restored using the finest clear and toning lacquers available. I've added an MP3 input for your listening enjoyment should you wish listen to your own supplied music, such as Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman. 12"W x 8"H x 6-1/2"D (depending which position you put the radio in). |
