THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
During the mid to late 1930's, Arvin, an Indiana based manufacturer, was at the peak of their game. Their sales were quite good, and with their Art Deco influenced cabinet designs, it was certainly no surprise. This six-tube set, including a bright green magic tuning eye, receives both AM Broadcast and Shortwave very well and with superb warm sound due to its large speaker. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for safety), plus I have added a male mini-jack so that you can listen to your own media device's content. The cabinet has been carefully restored using the finest lacquers available to match original colors and quality. The complex contrasting inlay woods, waterfall front, sprocket style knobs and colorful backlit dial exemplify why the elegant Phantom Junior is highly prized among collectors today. 14"W x 10"H x 9"D. |
