Truetone D-723 "Tulip" (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Few radios from this Art Deco era have such beautiful waterfall fronts or grill cutouts as this Truetone, lovingly called the "Tulip." With its multicolored stationized backlit dial, AM broadcast and two shortwave bands, reception is just superb and the sounds and tonal quality that emanates from its huge 8" speaker will quite simply amaze you! Truetone, a Western Auto Store brand, typically purchased radios from various quality manufacturers and Detrola produced this D-723. The chassis has been completely restored, fused for safe operation, plus an auxiliary input jack has been added so that you can also enjoy whatever compliment of music you have on your MP3 input type device. The cabinet has been carefully and lovingly restored using the finest grain fillers, lacquers and toning lacquers to as closely resemble its original finish when new. This is one beautiful radio worthy of anyone's collection. 19"W x 11"H x 9"D.
