Here's a drop-dead gorgeous piece of amazing "eye candy" with all the Art Deco influence most could ever want. You likely recognize it from Mark Stein's book, "Machine Age to Jet Age." The multicolored dual backlit dial with the sailing ship on it is oh so beautiful in a dimly lit room, as is the beautiful mesmerizing magic green tuning eye. This particular Simplex model is quite difficult to find and I believe this is the first time one has been offered for sale here on the Attic. From my personal collection, the chassis has been completely restored and it plays well on both the AM broadcast and shortwave bands. The cabinet has been refinished using the finest of lacquers, accenting the radio's wonderful Deco symmetry. I've loved this set since first setting eyes on it and I know you'll appreciate being able to add it to your collection. 15-1/2"W x 9"H x 6"D.
